How Much Does a Website Cost in 2026 — An Honest Answer
Prices online range from €500 to €500,000. We explain what drives the difference and how to avoid paying too much — or too little.
Prices range from €500 (templates) to €40,000+ (enterprise). Our minimum is €3,000; most projects range €8,000–€25,000.
Why Are Price Differences So Large?
"Website development" is as abstract as "a car." A beat-up used car costs €500. A Mercedes S-Class costs €150,000. Both drive, but they are completely different products.
Websites are the same.
Price Categories
Under €1,500 — Templates or No-Code
WordPress + a purchased theme, or Wix/Squarespace. Fine if you're a solopreneur with no growth plans and just need a digital business card.
Risks: slow speed, security holes, hard to customise, platform dependency.
€3,000–€8,000 — Custom Design, Standard Functionality
A professional designer and developer. You get a unique visual identity, SEO-optimised structure, contact forms, CRM integrations, and fast loading times (if the developer knows what they're doing).
Suitable for most business websites.
€10,000–€40,000 — Complex Functionality
E-commerce with large catalogs, booking systems, membership platforms, B2B portals, ERP integrations.
€40,000+ — Enterprise or SaaS Platforms
Multi-month team effort. Complex architecture, high load requirements, security audits.
What You Should Never Buy Cheap
SEO — bad SEO work can destroy your Google rankings. Algorithm penalties are hard to recover from.
Security — any site handling payments or user data must be audited.
Hosting — €2/month hosting means 2-second load times and 50% of visitors leaving.
