SOSVAN
Transport Logistics Platform
Freight and transport platform built with Laravel and Vue.js: job postings, carrier quotes, and direct peer-to-peer booking.

Client
SOSVAN is a freight matching platform and transport carrier community operating across Lithuania and Europe. The service connects shippers directly with drivers who have available vehicle capacity—ranging from vans to car trailers. SOSVAN focuses on flexible peer-to-peer transport, relocations, vehicle transit, and bespoke cargo that falls outside traditional courier network limits.
Challenge
Conventional parcel services rely on intermediate sorting depots and strict dimension limits, making them costly and slow for oversized, fragile, or unpackaged items. Finding transport via unstructured noticeboards is time-consuming and lacks reliability.
SOSVAN required a dedicated web system to:
- Enable users to post transport requests specifying pick-up points, destinations, and cargo details.
- Distribute new jobs to registered carriers travelling along matching routes, allowing them to submit quotes.
- Provide an automated flow for booking confirmation, payment processing, and exchanging dispatch contacts.
Solution
We engineered the platform architecture using Laravel on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend:
- Job posting flow: A straightforward multi-step form allowing users to describe shipments, pick relevant categories (freight, personal moves, vehicles), and publish routes.
- Carrier management portal: A dedicated interface where drivers monitor available freight matching their travel plans and respond with targeted price proposals.
- Reservation and booking system: Shippers review submitted offers, select the most suitable carrier, and secure the booking by paying a reservation fee, immediately receiving carrier details.
- Reactive UI: Leveraged Vue.js components to deliver a responsive, smooth interface for submitting requests and managing proposals without disruptive page reloads.
Outcome
A streamlined transport exchange platform connecting shippers with regional drivers. Carriers can systematically monetise empty space on planned journeys, while customers get access to competitive quotes and direct, depot-free delivery.
